Preferences


  1. Preferences can be access by clicking the 'Menu' button in the top left of the window and selecting 'Preferences'. Once any change is made the 'Save' button must be pressed for the changes to take affect. Preferences can be reset to default values by clicking the 'Reset' button.

  1. General settings allow users to select which default file type outputs are generated. The file locator allows users to select between _ss00 files or _cc00. With the later requiring collation and generation within the nCS1 software. Turning on 'debug mode' generates further QC plots in software outputs.

  1. Diameter settings allow users to fine tune how calibrations are performed. Calibrations can be switched between 'dynamic' or 'static' modes. The event limit for failing to perform diameter calibration based on the number of events detected can be modified under the 'Event Limit' input boxes. The 'Scaling Precision' mode allows users to use a higher precision linearizing factor in RPSPASS mode, or select the output of the nCS1 instrument which is a lower precision scale resulting in less accuracy across the scale.

  1. Outlier removal settings allow users to select the parameters utilized in deciding on the most reliable regions of the acquisition. Outlier removal can also be turned off entirely if desired. The gate range of each parameter can also be adjusted under the 'Threshold Ranges' input fields.

  1. The use of cohort analysis can be turned off if desired. When only the thresholds used for defining the sample region in standard units can be defined using the 'Min Sample S2NTT' and 'Min Noise S2NTT'.
